Our Manufacturing Facilities

Paradeep Phosphates Limited has two manufacturing facilities, its flagship plant in Paradeep, Odisha and a newly acquired plant in Zuarinagar, Goa. In addition to backward integration, both facilities are strategically located near the port, providing us with a competitive advantage in terms of timely and cost-effective logistics. Our Paradeep and Goa plants have an NPK/DAP production capacity of 1.8 MTPA and 0.8 MTPA respectively, and are both equipped with large storage capabilities, enabling us to successfully meet market demand throughout the year and maintain a stable production cycle by reducing the risks associated with short-term supply disruptions and price volatility.

Paradeep Plant

At Paradeep, Odisha, we have an integrated and strategically located manufacturing facility comprising a DAP and NPK production plant, three sulphuric acid production plants, and a large phosphoric acid production plant. Since we have backward integrated our manufacturing processes, two of our intermediate raw materials — phosphoric acid and sulphuric acid — are produced in-house.

At Paradeep port, we own an all-weather captive berth and a 14-metre draft with loading and unloading facilities for solid and liquid cargo, enabling us to meet our carriers’ schedules in a timely manner. A closed 3.4 km long conveyor belt connecting the port to our plant facilitates the direct transportation of solid raw materials. Similarly, a 3.1 km long pipeline helps transport raw materials in liquid form. In addition, we have a 23 MW power plant and two power plants of 16 MW each that are designed to run on excess steam generated from our sulphuric acid plant.

Goa Plant

To expand our production capabilities and market reach, we acquired Zuari Agro Chemicals’ Goa fertilizer plant in June 2022. This facility is equipped with two NPK production plants (NPK A and NPK B), an ammonia production plant, a urea production plant, and a dedicated state-of-the-art quality assurance laboratory. This new acquisition has allowed us to scale our operations by expanding our manufacturing capabilities and diversifying our product portfolio. Our Goa facility comes with the ability to manufacture and distribute urea along with various unqiue grades of NPKs.

Our Goa facility is located near Mormugao port where we own a captive railway siding for product dispatch. This facility is also equipped with a 7.50 MW captive steam turbine generator and a 6.50 MW captive diesel generator.
